Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 24 October 2026

We want you to trust what we recommend, so here’s exactly how Two Aussies in Tuscany earns money from this website.

The short version

Some of the links on our site, in our emails and in our guides are affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, we may earn a small commission. It never costs you anything extra, and it never decides what we recommend.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special link to another company’s website, such as a hotel booking site or a car hire company. If you use it to make a booking or purchase, that company pays us a small fee for sending you their way. You pay the same price you would if you went to the site directly.

We work with partners through affiliate networks such as Travelpayouts, which connect us with travel companies for things like:

  • hotels and places to stay

  • car hire

  • tours, tickets and experiences

  • travel essentials such as eSIMs or travel insurance

Partners change from time to time, so we don’t list every one here. Wherever an affiliate link appears, we’ll say so.

Our promise: Tried & Loved

Everything we share follows one rule: if we haven’t tried it and loved it, it doesn’t make the list. That rule comes first, always.

  • We only recommend places and services we’ve used ourselves, or genuinely would.

  • Commissions never decide what we include, how we rank it or what we say about it.

  • Many of the places we love, like a local trattoria, a family winery or a market stall, have no affiliate program at all. We recommend them anyway.

  • We’re not paid to write about anywhere, and we don’t accept free stays or meals in exchange for a recommendation. If that ever changes, we’ll say so clearly on that post.

Our own guides

We also sell our own Tried & Loved guides (our Google Maps guides and day plans). When we mention them, we’re promoting our own products, and we earn the full price when you buy one. They follow the same rule as everything else: only places we’ve tried and loved.

Cookies

When you click an affiliate link, the partner may place a cookie in your browser to record that you came from our site. That’s how they know to pay us. We don’t receive your name, payment details or booking details from them. See our Privacy Policy for more.

Thank you for using our links. It helps us keep exploring, keep our recommendations honest and keep sharing them with you.

Ciao, Andrew & Julie
